Personality: Generally withdrawn, but friendly if he gets to know you. Unless of course he holds a sudden grudge on someone from the way he reads their behavior.James is very quick to judge and it is always going to be hard to gain his trust. He doesn't like large crowds, feeling out of place. He can be rather protective of what he does care about.

Items: His favorite book with a emerald green binding that his parents wrote. the book seems to be about Outsiders, though never having seen one, and due to missing pages, he believes it to be a fictional story. And an old family photo which he keeps tucked in the book at all times.

History: James had a good start on life. He and his three siblings, him being the eldest, got along as all siblings do though his parents were traveling authors and left him at home with his siblings a lot.
This went on for the first few years of his life, and they were never really alone what with his uncle checking in on them while his parents were away. But then James's parents didn't return. He didn't worry until they were about a month late and their uncle no longer checking up on them. And indeed something had went very wrong.
By this time James was sixteen, his siblings only having him to look up to, though the eldest sister was able to help out with the younger children a lot by now, being twelve so the whole load wasn't dumped on him anymore.
Soon enough after weeks of worry his uncle did return, though it was obvious the man had a sinister look in his eyes, to crooked a grin. This wasn't the uncle he remembered, but could it be that how his uncle had acted all his life had been a facade? Sadly it was. His uncle explained how he had did away with his brother and step-sister. He was mad, not the kind man his father had entrusted to care for his children.
Then James's uncle tugged him away into his parents' study, corners of the room piled with books. His uncle commenced to make a fire in the middle of the room and forced him to burn all his parents' works. Books with notes to him and his siblings written in the bindings, old postcards, and rough drafts of all his childhood homemade fairy-tales. James writhed as he watched them burn, his uncle had threatened his siblings lives, what could he do but destroy his memories for them, he had to. As he watched those pages burn though it seemed a piece of himself was burned away with them.
Alas despite complying to this mad-man's wishes, and fighting back as a last resort to save his siblings, his uncle still murdered his two nieces and nephew dragging James away from the bloody scene and outside. He set the whole home ablaze forcing the boy to watch, claiming he was teaching him a life lesson. The man left the boy there with the reminants of his family and his home. He stayed there for days before moving on, though it was a year before he showed his face again. Hair dyed as if to hide himself, and make a new identity.
When he did return, that was when he made his way to Zandora, to make himself a new life. The best place to go is always somewhere you've never been. Where you're new, and no one knows you.


Other: His hair is dyed, it original color being brunet.
